Door Cup Paint Protection Film- Jeep Wrangler & Universal Fit

Installing paint protection film (PPF) on door handle cups is a great way to safeguard your vehicle’s finish and prevent scratches in the paint. We proudly use Suntek Ultra Paint Protection Film; it has a 99% UV rating and is 8mm thick.

Here are step-by-step written instructions for installing PPF on door handle cups:

• Clean the Surface:
  • Begin by thoroughly cleaning the area behind the door handle and the door cup. Use a microfiber cloth and a slip solution to remove any dirt, oil, or residue.
• Prepare the Film:
  • Dry fit the door cup template to ensure size is correct (template is universal)-trim with scissors if needed.
  • Using a spray bottle, fill with water and one drop of dish soap. Mist water on the back of the PPF film as well as the door cup area.
  • Carefully place the film on the door cup, ensuring proper alignment.
• Squeegee Application:
  • Starting from the middle, use your thumb or a small squeegee to press the film onto the surface.
  • Work your way from the top down and then towards the sides.
  • Smooth out any wrinkles or bubbles.
• Check for Imperfections:
  • Inspect the film for any bubbles, creases, or misalignment.
  • If needed, lift the film and reposition it.
